ENERGY TAX CREDIT
North Central Door’s complete line of Forest Bay and Northwood’s Prestige Thermal doors (1 3/8” and 2”) qualify for the tax credit, up to $1,500 for garage doors installed between January 1, 2009 and December 31st, 2010. Wind Load Certification
North Central Door Co LLC recently performed wind load testing at an independent lab in Minneapolis, Minnesota in order to gain certification of its residential garage doors in accordance with the International Building Code. This certification will meet the 90 mile per hour design pressures specified by ASTM E-330 and ANSI/DASMA 108. North Central Door Co. is planning to offer these certified doors by October 1, 2008.
New Plant Facility
North Central Door Co LLC has begun production in its brand-new facility, along with a new dedicated thermal door line. The 106,000 sq. ft. building was completed in July, 2007; Sales and Administration departments began operating out of the new location. The transfer of production equipment and supplies was accomplished over several weeks during January-February 2008.
Introducing the “Aspen Ridge”
North Central Door Co LLC will be offering the “Aspen Ridge” stamped, carriage house style thermal door on March 10, 2008. The new model will be available in both 1 3/8” and 2” variants and will incorporate the company’s improved section joint and thermal break.
“Special Reserve” now offered with wood-grain overlay
North Central Door’s popular “Special Reserve” carriage house door now offers the choice of a wood-grained or existing smooth faced overlay board. General Manager Steve Palmer states, “we are responding to the feedback we’ve received from our customers to offer this option, which makes this door appealing to an even greater number of homeowners.”
