The Liftmaster® Residential Jackshaft opener is specially designed for garages that don't allow for more traditional openers, such as those with low or cathedral ceilings. Ultra-quiet and space-saving, the Jackshaft mounts on either side of your garage door and attaches to the torsion bar. The 24V DC motor performs with quiet reliability, while an optional battery backup ensures that your door will open in the event of a power outage. The Jackshaft is designed for sectional doors only (see below), and offers the same trusted safety features found in our other openers.

• The optional EverCharge™ battery backup system keeps your door functioning in the event of a power outage.
• The Jackshaft is designed for sectional doors only, up to 14 feet high or 180 square feet in area.  It meets all UL325 requirements. 

Safety Features:

• The Power Lock system stops intruders by securely locking the garage door when it is down. Similar to a deadbolt locking system, the door cannot be forced open.
• The Protector System® safety feature projects an invisible light beam across the garage door opening. If anything interrupts the beam while the door is closing, the system instantly reverses the door direction.
• A manual release is installed in case of power failure.
